Reflection
This project has taught me a lot about how important a plan and team work are when executing said plan. There were months of planning that went into how I was going to conduct the research project and how I was going to lead each section of work. I learned just how important it is to surround yourself with good workers and reliable people so that the plan could be executed as smoothly as possible. I think one of my favorite parts of this project was to learn how to love collaboration. Before this project I tended to lean towards doing things on my own because I knew I could rely on myself. Now I can think about group projects a little differently because in the workforce that is truly what work is going to be. I know that when I have a supportive team I will be able to enjoy such group work.
In the future I will apply having a plan into all the work that I do. When there are clear parameters for any project, it is going to run smoothly. One thing that I would improve upon is my own ability to explain myself. Especially with my research assistant, I had to learn how to consolidate everything that was going on in my head and explain it in a simple way. I am not the best at it yet but will continue to hone those skills so that when I have people that do not understand what I want, I will be able to clearly articulate my desires. I know that I have a lot more insight now on how research is conducted because I had to see how everything worked each step of the way.
